Almir Mesković & Daniel Lazar is an explosive musical encounter of the accordion and the violin, the Balkans and Scandinavia, classical music and improvisation. Almir from Bosnia and Daniel from Serbia were raised in the heart of the Balkan tradition, while today they work in Norway, where their musical paths crossed and where they found their unique language of sound.

During the concert at the Castle, this exceptional duo will traverse various styles and periods, from fiery Balkan rhythms, through lyrical echoes of Scandinavian music, to lively improvisation inspired by the Romani and klezmer culture.

Their sound is a living tale of identity and migration, of roots and encounters. Almir and Daniel passionately cross the boundaries of genres and countries, creating music that is both virtuosic and accessible. Their debut album Roots has won critical and public acclaim, making it onto the lists of the best world music albums in Europe.
